CLEANING & POLISHING AND GUM TREATMENTS

Oral Health is the Window to your Overall Health

Though teeth are brushed & cleaned every day, plaque can still build up in areas that are not accessible to your toothbrush alone. We recommend visiting the professional every six months for teeth cleaning (scaling) and polishing.

Your regular visits help us look for early signs of gum disease and discuss ways to address the same, if any.

Healthy gums for a healthy & beautiful Smile

Gums that are red, swollen or bleeding are common revealing signs of gum or periodontal disease. Prolonged tartar build-up can eventually cause inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), causing swollen gums that bleed easily whilst brushing teeth. Simple treatment, together with changes in oral hygiene habits, can reverse this disease. In susceptible patients, gingivitis may eventually progress to a more serious condition called periodontitis.

Periodontitis causes teeth to gradually lose support leading to tooth loss among adults. People are mostly unaware that they have severe gum disease because it usually progresses without pain.

Early detection of gum disease can help prevent its progression.
